The marble-topped bar on board 108 metre Benetti superyacht IJE is located within the atmospheric nightclub. Styled by interior designer RWD, the room features plush sofas offset by darker colours to set the scene, as well as excellent sound insulation to turn up the tunes and party the night away with a drink in hand from the well-stocked bar. The area also features a custom-made “virtual aquarium” designed by tech company Nextworks for extra effect, which displays realistic imagery of tropical marine life visible through five faux portholes.
The best bars on board superyachts
From IJE's high-tech nightclub to the iconic "Ari's Bar" on board classic Christina O, BOAT rounds up the best superyacht cocktail bars for celebrating, socialising and sipping while on a superyacht holiday this festive season...
IJE
White Rabbit
The world's largest trimaran, the 83 metre White Rabbit, features Art Deco references throughout her interiors. These are on full display around the huge bar in the main saloon, which is headed by a spectacular light feature that cleverly doubles as glass storage. The bar fully embraces the yacht's name with a gold leaf Alice in Wonderland scene in the ceiling.
Scout
The mechanical themes found throughout Scout are fitting for Hakvoort's recently delivered superyacht explorer. Even the bar, in the heart of Scout's observation lounge features an unusual mechanical component. Like a large globe, the bar opens in sections along lines of longitude to reveal shelves for preparing drinks and storage for glasses.
Diamonds Are Forever
The marble-topped wet bar on this 60.95 metre Benetti superyacht mirrors the glamorous James Bond-inspired interior décor. Built for auto magnate John Staluppi, Diamonds Are Forever hit the water for the first time in 2011, sporting lavish interior styling from designer Evan K Marshall. Her spacious accommodation allows for up to 12 guests and 15 crewmembers.
High Power III
The top deck of this 70 metre Rossinavi superyacht is party central, with light-up bar, pool and a helideck that converts to a dance floor with disco lighting. But this isn't the only bar on board High Power III — move downstairs to discover a jewel box-like speakeasy, studded with lights inspired by sea urchins.
