In April 2022, Numarine launched its latest, and smallest, explorer yacht – the 22.6-metre 22XP. The Turkish shipyard chose to expand its offerings in response to the market’s desire for a smaller Numarine model. Here, we get to know the new yacht’s most remarkable traits.

She’s Numarine’s new entry-level yacht

Even before the first unit was launched, a number of owners wanted in on the sub-150 GT superyacht. To date, the yard has confirmed that five units have already been sold. One reason for the high uptake is that the 22XP houses all the features found onboard her larger sisters, but in a smaller package. As a result, the 22XP is a key addition to the yard’s fleet of XP Series explorer yachts.

“The 22XP has been a success from the very first design stages.” stated Ömer Malaz, Numarine chairman “I’m sure we will see many 22XP in the Mediterranean sea in the upcoming seasons.”

Her design is recognisable

Another feature that attracted the new owners of the futuristic 22XP is her bold yet elegant design. What can be seen on the outside of the new superyacht are large panels of angular windows similar to the 26XP, and a spacious flybridge. “Our explorer models’ style is bold and dynamic which has become more of a long-standing characteristic of Numarine,” says Malaz.

As the work of Numarine’s long-standing partners, designer Can Yalman and naval architect Umberto Tagliavini, the 22XP carries the distinguishable characteristics of the yard’s existing explorers. “Just like every Numarine yacht, the levels of seaworthiness, safety and comfort on the 22XP is what keeps the Numarine brand at the forefront of innovation and technology. Plus her ambitiously conceived functionality guarantees a first-class experience,” adds Malaz.

She’s packed with features found in a larger yacht

“The 22XP’s interior is among the most voluminous for a 70-footer out there on the market,” says Malaz. This interior contains almost all of the same features as the rest of the yard’s five-model-strong XP Series. On the main deck, guests will find the open cockpit to the fore and once inside, a spacious saloon with a neighbouring galley and dining area. The interior space is filled with natural light and can be opened up even further to connect to the outdoor aft area.

The flybridge, the yacht’s third and top deck, can be fitted with anything from sun loungers, lounge furniture and a dining table, to a bar and Jacuzzi. Spread across the lower deck are the yacht’s deluxe staterooms. The layout of the 22XP offers owners a choice of either three or four spacious cabins, including a full-beam master suite, for up to eight guests.
