Candice Rossi of Fraser Yachts tells me that Penny Parrot in the Fort Lauderdale has sold a 73.3m new construction project from Perini Navi’s Vitruvius series to a longstanding client. The largest in the range, her diesel electric propulsion with twin Azimuth stern pods will reach a top speed of 16.5 knots.
Being built to a Philippe Briand design, she is due for delivery at the end of 2013 and will have an astonishing 7,500 mile range at 12 knots. Good to know that buyers are still commissioning such ground breaking new construction projects.
