David East of David East Yachting tells me that he’s now listing for sale the classic Sparkman & Stephens 27m alloy ketch Sceptre, built by Camper & Nicholsons. David sold her to the present owner as Gitana and she’s benefited from a meticulous refit and upgrade. Currently in the USA, she’ll overwinter in the Caribbean and head back to Europe in the Spring. As David says, “Heard about ‘Gentleman’s Yachts’? This is one for real.” Sceptre is asking €1.9 million, VAT paid.

David’s also signed up the 26.8m Blue Titan, a Mediterranean 88. A “real and proper pilothouse cutter”, she has a full width aft master stateroom along with two twin/triple cabins. and separate crew cabins. Lying in mainland Spain, she’s MCA compliant and asking €1.4 million.
