I call Thom Conboy at International Yacht Collection for an update on his new build co-central agency with Jim Eden, the superyacht Newcastle 55 and he says that she’s well on course for delivery in Summer 2010.
Thom goes on to say that, in terms of volume, she’s in the top five megayachts built in the last 30 years in the USA and will ” surprise a lot of people when she’s launched.” Being constructed to ABS class with MCA compliancy by Newcastle Marine, Newcastle 55 will sleep 12 guests in two masters, two doubles and two twins. She’s on the market at $54.9 million.
