The construction of the 90m Benetti custom superyacht was not the only piece of hot news to come from Azimut Benetti at the Miami boat show. The yard also announced that Azimut would be building its future flagship - the Grande 140.

The Azimut Grande 140 will be a 42 metre composite trideck with a planing hull, designed by Stefano Righini. With a large interior volume, the yacht will feature a full-beam upper saloon on the upper deck and accommodate for 12 guests. The full-beam master suite on the main deck will enjoy side balconies, while two double and two twins plus Pullmans will accommodate the guests on the lower deck.

The yacht will be powered by twin 2,580kW MTU engines giving a top speed of 22 knots, a cruising speed of 17 knots and a range of 1,300 nautical miles at 12 knots.

The construction of the first Azimut Grande 140 has started, but no delivery date has been announced.
