Saturday, May 7th 2011 sees the great and the good of the superyacht industry gather in London's Guildhall for the 2011 World Superyacht Awards.
100 nominations have now been whittled down to a list of 62 outstanding finalists representing the cream of the yachts delivered in 2010. Perhaps the most hotly contested category will be the Best Displacement Motor Yacht of 1,300GT to 2,999GT where some particularly fine yachts will be locking horns. These include Feadship's 68m Lady Christine, Oceanco's 85.47m Sunrays and, of course, the 85.6m Cakewalk from Derecktor, the largest yacht by volume ever built in the USA.
