AlumerciA

Jan-Jaap Minnema in the Monaco office of Fraser Yachts tells me that the 38m Heesen/Vripack explorer yacht AlumerciA is back in Rotterdam, the port she left in 2001 for an eight-year world cruise. According to Jan-Jaap, “The owner has fulfilled his dream to make the voyage of his life, and the only reason he designed the boat with Dick Boon and commissioned her build. With her silent and economical Azimut Dualprop propulsion system, Landcruiser Jeep and heli-pad, she is one of the best-maintained explorer yachts on the market.” The owner had her completely refitted for six months in early 2008 including a new paint job. Now that the extended cruise, which covered an impressive 101,185 nautical miles, is over she is for sale, as Jan-Jaap says, “Now more than ever. She is priced at €9.95 million, and all reasonable offers will be considered. It goes without saying that she is Lloyds classed and MCA compliant. She has never been chartered, being used only by the owner and his family.”
