Broward motor yacht Decompression sold

The 31.39 metre motor yacht Decompression, listed for sale by Ron Morgenstein at IYC, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Ron Housman at United Yacht Sales.

Built in aluminium by US yard Broward,Decompression was delivered in 2000 and has since had many upgrades and refits. An elegant interior in raised panel mahogany accommodates eight guests in four cabins consisting of a main deck master suite with three full beam master suites below, two of which could easily serve as master suites themselves. All cabins have full en suite bathroom facilities. In addition, there are quarters for five crew.

The imposing main saloon has 8’ headroom and is furnished with comfortable settees to port and starboard in the lounge area, an entertainment centre and a formal dining area forward.

The large aft deck has seating for eight guests dining al fresco around a lacquered teak table and there is a built in flat screen television in the forward port bulkhead. Up on the flybridge, more outdoor enjoyment is offered, including a bar, barbecue and a large flat screen television, all protected by a GRP hard top.

Twin 1,400hp Detroit Diesel engines give her a cruising speed of 15 knots.

Her broker, Ron Morgenstein, said, “I have had the great pleasure and privilege of knowing this amazingly well laid out and extremely well built yacht since she was first launched, and have watched as her four different owners have each enjoyed and maintained her with an open cheque book approach. This yacht is a wonderful and rare example of taking a preventive maintenance approach, rather than the ‘wait 'til it breaks’ mentality.”

Lying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Decompression was asking $2,470,000.
