16 April 2024 • Written by Nick Jeffery

The 25.9-metre Burger motor yacht Worthy has been sold less than a month after joining the market, with Michael Mahan of Worth Avenue Yachts representing the seller and Ken Denison of Denison Yachting introducing the buyer.

Delivered in 2000 from the long-established USA yard Burger Boat Company for a knowledgeable yachtsman, the raised pilothouse aluminium boat was refitted in 2024.

Worthy was asking $2,450,000

Worthy accommodates a party of six in three cabins, comprising a full-beam master, a double and twin cabins, and has quarters for a crew of two in the bow. Her saloon, accessed via a single glass-paned door aft, has a pair of floor-to-ceiling windows looking onto the cosy aft deck, which connects to the swim platform via a staircase. The open plan saloon boasts an eight-seater walnut dining table forward, flanked by walnut cabinets. Forward of this is a walk-up stone bar with a sink and fridge.

Stairs lead down to the three guest cabins from the foyer. Forward of the foyer is a "country kitchen" with large windows, a television and granite tops, U-shaped seating and a table forward. The pilothouse, sporting settees and a swing-down television, has direct access to the flybridge, which has a pair of tables and benefits from a hard Bimini and roll-down windows for protection in inclement weather.

The 114GT yacht has an impressive top speed of 24 knots under her twin 1,400hp Caterpillar engines and a useful cruising speed of 19 knots.

Worthy was asking $2,450,000.
