Built by US superyacht yard Christensen to ABS class, she is also MCA compliant and was launched in 2005 with a refit in 2009. Top Five accommodates up to 14 guests in a main deck master suite, VIP stateroom, two double and two twin cabins, plus two Pullman berths, in an interior designed by Carol Williamson and all staterooms have en suite bathroom facilities.
A very popular charter yacht, she has comfortable secluded areas for everyone aboard. Aside from the obvious spa getaway or just retiring to the first class accommodation to read a book or watch a movie, there are many areas to escape and relax. Twin 1,800hp MTU engines give her a cruising speed of 16 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 11 knots. Other features include zero speed stabilisers and an elevator serving four decks.
There is a charming reason behind her name of Top Five. Apparently the current owner has five children and, when the youngest, a little girl, would climb onto his lap she would ask who was his favourite. With gentle diplomacy he would reply, 'You're in my Top Five, darling.'
Available to view in Palm Beach, Florida, from 25 April, superyacht Top Five is asking $21,995,000.
