Patrick Coote at Fraser Yachts sends word that the group has been appointed as superyacht partner of the 34th America’s Cup. Representing a new era for the America’s Cup, this huge event has ground-breaking changes to its format that will bring the racing to spectators, allowing fans not just to see the live action from the shore but to also become part of the competition on the water.

The superyacht sector’s participation is taken to a new level of engagement. Fraser Yachts will be at the heart of the new initiative which will see superyachts being incorporated into the event to serve as virtual boundaries for the race course helping to create a floating stadium in which the teams will compete. Patrick comments: “Superyacht owners, charterers and their guests will now be able to benefit from ‘front row seats’, just yards from the world’s top sailors and their fight for victory.

“We’d like to encourage the superyacht community to really get behind the whole 34th America’s Cup World Series, which will prove to be exciting world class sporting events over the next two years, culminating in the final in San Francisco. There is already significant interest from owners who want to see the spectacle of the unique new format. Many superyachts will be attending the preliminary World Series races and we can already sense the excitement building.”
