Westport motor yacht Gene Machine sold

The 40 metre motor yacht Gene Machine, listed for sale by Wayne Cannava at Gilman Yachts in Fort Lauderdale, has been sold in an in-house deal.

Designed by  William Garden, she was built in GRP by US yard Westport to ABS and MCA class, and was delivered in 2011 as the 33rd hull in the Westport 130' series. The standard layout accommodates 10 guests in a master suite on the main deck and four double cabins on the lower deck, all with full en suite bathroom facilities.

This tri-deck yacht offers exceptional luxury, convenience and privacy with elegant lines and a spirited performance. High quality materials, components and technology ensure exceptional reliability and uninterrupted enjoyment. The main saloon is warm and welcoming, located on the main deck and accessed through double doors on the aft deck. There is a conversation area with four occasional chairs, a coffee table and sofa along with an entertainment centre containing a 50 inch pop-up television with surround sound, Kaleidescape DVD/CD server and an iPod docking station. The dining area is forward of the lounge and can seat up to 10 guests with buffets to port and starboard.

The sundeck features a large wet bar with bar stools covered by a custom hardtop. There are two built-in seating areas forward with two tables, an ice maker, large barbecue and a pleasant sunning area with adjustable chaise lounges.

Twin 2,735hp MTU engines give her a cruising speed of 19 knots and have an extended warranty until February 2019 while another plus is that she has just completed her five year ABS survey.

Lying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Gene Machine was asking $13,995,000.
