Jeff Stanley at Gilman Yachts writes to confirm the sale yesterday of the 2007-built 24.6m Johnson motor yacht called Maren di Ponza based in Palma, with Henry Schoone at Schooner Yachts and Konrad Muhren of Atlantic Yacht Partner representing the seller.

Jeff closed the sale to a US owner of a 19.8m Johnson who had been intent on purchasing one but missed out on two sisterships that sold in last year's Ft. Lauderdale show. The on deck master suite plus three other guest cabins were, says Jeff, attractive to this particular owner. The superyacht is currently waiting loading for shipment to the US where she will undergo a comprehensive refit to her interior furnishings, electric systems and the addition of an "At Rest" stabiliser system as well as a new hydraulic swim platform for tender storage. Maren di Ponza's asking price was €2.9 million.
