John Cohen of Merle Wood & Associates writes to say that the owner of Abeking & Rasmussen's 40.02m superyacht Silver Shalis has authorised a major price reduction as he's taking delivery of a new yacht.

Designed by Holland's Diana Yacht Design and built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 1987, the superyacht offers a fine Dutch/German pedigree coupled with high performance. Powered by three MTU 16V engines with a combined horsepower of 10,440hp driving three KaMeWa waterjets, she's capable of cruising at 30 knots. Her deep V hull ensures excellent stability, while her shallow draught makes her ideal for cruising in the Bahamas.

Silver Shalis accommodates up to 10 guests in a master, two doubles and a triple plus a Pullman berth and has had only one owner since launch, meticulously maintained and never chartered.

She's available for inspection at Sunrise Harbour from Monday 19th October and, of course, at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. A joint central agency with Burgess, Silver Shalis is now asking $7.45 million.
