The 25.65 metre sailing yacht Foftein has been listed for sale by Manfred Haas at Haas International.
Built in aluminium by Dutch yard Royal Huisman to a design by Henry Scheel, she was delivered in 1989 to an experienced yachtsman with a passion for diving and filming marine life worldwide. A classic sailing ketch with a beautiful sheer line, clipper bow, elliptical stern and moderate draft, her entire conception is based upon the owner’s desire for comfort and convenience below, as well as safety and seaworthiness.
Accommodation is for four to five guests in a forward master cabin and a twin to port with a Pullman berth, both with en suite shower facilities.
A full refit in 2006 saw her receive a full repaint of the hull, superstructure and masts, new stainless steel rod rigging and the replacement of all deck fittings with new stainless steel Rondal deckware. There was also a reduction in size of the engine room to allow for a complete redesign of the forward guest area and modernization of the accommodation cabins to include en suite facilities. Finally, all the interior and exterior woodwork was re-varnished. The 170hp Gardner engine was completely rebuilt, too.
Lying in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Foftein is asking €1.75 million with VAT included.
