Cariad

I was intrigued to see Friday's announcement from Merle Wood & Associates about John Cohen's new listing, the 45.72m motor yacht Cariad, as it came almost exactly three months to the day that we reported her sold. At that time she was called My Iris, and John tells me that the owner purchased her as an interim yacht for use this summer and is now looking at purchasing a larger yacht to suit his style of cruising.

Cariad was built by Trinity Yachts in 2003 to ABS class and has a warm, rich ‘country house’ interior by celebrated designer Claudette Bonville. MCA compliant, this superyacht accommodates 10 guests in a master, three doubles and one twin cabin.

Twin 2250hp Caterpillar engines power her to a cruising speed of 18 knots and a range of 2,925 nautical miles at 15 knots. Her asking price is $19.995 million.
