Nigel Hollyer at ICAP Shipping tells me that the 60 metre Trinity superyacht Bacarella has sold at an auction concluded on Tuesday, 11 March 2014.

There were 19 serious bidders and the winning offer was, says Hollyer, in excess of $30 million. He goes on to say that several bidders came back wanting to raise their bids but to no avail – the deal was done.

Built by Trinity Yachts to an in-house design and launched in 2009, Bacarella was built in steel and aluminium to ABS class and is MCA compliant. She has a custom interior by Bannenberg & Rowell featuring neutral tones and accommodates 12 guests. The owner stipulated an extra-large master suite and there is also a full beam VIP stateroom and four double guest cabins. All staterooms have en suite bathroom facilities

Helicopter capable, Bacarella is powered by twin 2,012hp Caterpillar engines giving her a range of 4,500 nautical miles.
