Central Yacht announces new 55m superyacht order at Benetti

It's been a good few days for yacht builders with a fourth new order confirmed this week, a 55m motor yacht to be built at the Italian yard Benetti.

News arrives from Captain Paul Brackley at Central Yacht, a partnership of experienced professional seafarers and architects that Lady Candy (her project name) will have an LOA of 55m and has been designed by Central Yacht. Paul commented: "This yacht is a development from our experience as build captain, engineer and interiors surveyor for both the 65m Ambrosia and the 60m Xanadu."

Paul was responsible for the layout, with his experience as a captain an important factor in creating an interior optimised for efficiency. Improvements over rival yachts include features such as the dining areas are adjacent to service areas, the tender can be launched by only two personnel, storage is logically placed, the laundry has direct access to guest cabins, and so on.

Another Central Yacht team member, Andrea Manco, will be responsible for the interior design of Lady Candy. She will accommodate 12 guests in a master suite and a VIP stateroom, both located on the upper deck with their own private terraces, and four large double cabins on the lower deck.

Mainly intended to be used for charter, Lady Candy will offer every comfort with a gymnasium near the beach club, a cinema, a massage room and a dance floor.

Lady Candy will be launched by Benetti in 2013.
