Codecasa superyacht F74 under construction in Viareggio

Italian yard Codecasa has announced that construction has begun on its in-build 65 metre superyacht Hull F74, which is due to launch in 2019.

This four-deck yacht is being built from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure to an in-house design. The yard added that F74 is a full custom project, built on the same technical platform as Main, Eternity and Double Down.

With a shiny metallic grey coloured hull and superstructure, her arrow-tip like shape provides a streamlined appearance. What little we have been told about the interior design is that F74 will be functional with comfortable and spacious relaxation spaces on all decks.

Codecasa has drawn a simple, elegant yacht, which is described as a challenge against what the yard considers to be the "current trend of showing off stylistic extravagances at all costs".

Previous renderings, released last year, show that she features a sizeable superyacht swimming pool on the foredeck, with tender storage space forward.

Like the majority of Codecasa yachts her interior design, which will be flooded with natural light thanks to her large windows, will be fully customised. Power will come from a pair of 2,365hp Caterpillar 3512C diesel engines for a top speed of 17.5 knots, while the total fuel capacity of 160,000 litres will allow for a maximum cruising range of 5,000 nautical miles when trimmed back to 12 knots.

Other superyacht projects currently under development at the Italian yard include the 43 metre Codecasa C122, which is due to launch before the end of the year.
