US builder Hatteras has delivered its third Hatteras 100 RPH motor yacht. Hull No 3 of the 30.48 metre Hatteras 100 raised pilothouse yacht should be at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this year.
Known for its sportfishing yachts, the first Hatteras new flagship superyacht – the Hatteras 100 RPH – was launched in 2013. The model has proven successful for the production builder, with three yachts delivered in less than two years and two more in the series currently in build.
The recently delivered Hatteras 100 RPH is a composite series motor yacht with modern lines, designed by the in-house team. She offers generous interior volume and spacious outside areas with a large sun deck covered by a hardtop.
The standard interior layout will accommodate eight guests in a full-beam master, a VIP and two twin cabins on the lower deck. There is also an option to create a fifth cabin – or master suite – on the main deck in place of the large American-style galley.
Twin 1,900hp Caterpillar C-32 engines was the power option of the first Hatteras 100 RPH delivered, providing a top speed of 25 knots, a cruising speed of 19 knots and a range of 680 nautical miles, and a "muscle" version with twin 2,600hp MTU 16V 2000 engines is also available allowing a top speed of 29 knots.
Just days after launching the first hull of the Hatteras 100 RPH, named Mr. Loui, in 2013, Hatteras had hull No 2 already in build. Hatteras RPH 100 hull No 2 Magalita V will now be on hand at the Cannes yacht show this year to be shown to the European market.
Hull No 4 of the Hatteras 100 RPH is also at an advanced stage in her build and will be launched in 2015, due to debut at the Miami International Boat Show in February 2016, and hull No 5 is under construction, with this Hatteras 100 RPH due to be delivered in 2016.
