Top 10 superyachts ordered in 2010

Following is a list of the ten largest yachts ordered during 2010, part of the 750 yachts over 24 metres currently under construction globally. There are rumours about a couple of very large new orders, but for the moment it's too early to confirm these. 2011 should bring more, firmer news.
Dream Symphony | 141m | Dream Ship Victory Meetings at the last Monaco Yacht Show saw the signature of a contract for the largest private sailing yacht ever built. Made of wood, she will be designed by Dykstra & Partners and Ken Freivokh Design. Work will start in 2011 for an expected delivery in 2013-2014... Read more about this new contract
Van Lent XL | 105m | Feadship No detail was provided by Van Lent about this recent order. Signed in November, this yacht will be the largest ever built in Netherlands. Her delivery is expected in 2013.
Bellissimo*** | 88m | Lürssen Fall September saw the keel laid for Bellissimo, the first cooperation between the German Lürssen yard and Italian designers from Nuvolari & Lenard. She's scheduled to be launched in 2013, and she is in our list of the largest new projects in the world
Sea Axe 6711*** | 67.15m | Damen Following the deliveries of the first Sea Axe support vessels (Oberon in 2009, and Umbra in 2010), Amels has announced the sale of the first Sea Axe 6711. Due for delivery in Spring 2012, this 67-metre Sea Axe will become the support vessel of a large superyacht. Read more about this new contract
Heesen 65*** | 65m | Heesen Yachts The future largest Heesen ever built will be a revolutionary 65-metre all-aluminium motor yacht based on the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) developed by Dutch naval architects Van Oossanen & Associates. PJ 210*** | 63.47m | Palmer Johnson A second hull of this new series designed by Nuvolari & Lenard was ordered. Her delivery is expected in 2012.
Sunrise 63*** | 63m | Sunrise Yachts Signed in May, this Sunrise Yachts will be the largest yacht ever built by this young Turkish shipyard. Originally she was a 61-metre project designed by Espen Oeino, but the project evolved to 63m after the Monaco Yacht Show, with an interior by Redman Whiteley Dixon. Her delivery is expected in 2013. Van Lent 807*** | 62m | Feadship This classic trideck yacht by Van Lent will be designed by De Voogt Naval Architects and Andrew Winch Design. Her delivery scheduled for 2013.
Amels 199*** | 60m | Amels Few months ago saw the keel laid of the first Amels 199, the first Amels with a vertical bow. Her exterior design is by Tim Heywood aith an interior design by Nuvolari & Lenard. She will be delivered in 2013.
De Vries 685*** | 58m | Feadship Signed in June, this new yacht by De Vries will be designed by De Voogt Naval Architects with a décoration by Bannenberg & Rowell. Her delivery is scheduled for 2013. Read more about this new contract
