Dutch yacht builder Wajer & Wajer has released a video showing off its new 11.3 metre Wajer 38S superyacht tender that will inspire you to get out on the water immediately.

The Wajer 38S is based on the same proven hull form as the original Vripack-designed Wajer Osprey 38 superyacht tender delivered to Dutch King Willem-Alexander. But the two yachts serve very different purposes.

While the Wajer Osprey 38 is designed as the ultimate day boat, combining classic launch looks with modern propulsion, the new Wajer 38S centre console yacht is made for watersports fun.

The video of the new Wajer 38S yacht above shows how much fun can be had enjoying this sporty day boat and its bountiful toy chest. The centre console yacht design is ideal for watersports activities, with tons of storage integrated for toys including water skis, surfboards, Seabobs, diving gear for four and fishing rods. Everything is hidden away, says the builder, “storage solutions ensure the equipment does not lie around taking up space when not in use – everything has its own dedicated place.”

The central cockpit allows for open deck spaces and plenty of room to move around and transition between different activities. A bimini top, lit by LEDs, covers the helm, and the centre console houses a toilet and sink.

According to Wajer, the new 38S is intended to be a standalone day boat – with a robust towing eye allowing the yacht to be taken anywhere. The sleeping accommodation found on the Wajer 38 has been done away with on this open boat, replaced by ample seating on the forward sun deck, which can transform into al fresco dining with a u-shape seating area.

A flared bow design keeps the cockpit dry even when running at the top speed of 47 knots that the Wajer 38 S can hit when using the optional 460hp Volvo engines, which are combined with dual IPS pod drives and joystick control. The new Wajer 38 S utilises innovative, lightweight materials for greater weight savings, shaving 960 kg off her predecessor.

Wajer yachts are customisable, with the hull, deck and cockpit colour up to the owner’s choice. Other options include having a rear-view camera to assist when waterskiing or docking. Orders are open for the Wajer 38 S, with prices starting at €495,000 excluding VAT.
