The 29.49 metre sailing yacht Maria Alba II, listed for sale by Simon J. Turner at Northrop & Johnson in Spain, has had a further €210,000 price reduction.
Maria Alba II was built as a fast racer by UK yard Green Marine with a carbon composite racing hull and delivered in 2000 as a sloop rigged yacht named Leopard of London. Her sleek, low exterior profile is the work of Reichel-Pugh Naval Architects with Ken Freivokh handling her styling and interior design. She is now ideal as a cruiser racer and for those who enjoy attending regattas.
As Leopard of London she was a keen competitor on the racing circuit worldwide, competing in the Fastnet, Sydney-Hobart, and Middle Sea Race, among others. She broke the record in the Round-the-Island race off the Isle of Wight in 2001. Acquired by the current owners in 2006, this yacht for sale was renamed _Maria Alba II _and has since been used purely for cruising with family and friends.
After a full interior refit in 2011, Maria Alba II boasts accommodation in like-new condition.
