When it comes to superyacht racing, events don't come much more exciting than the Rolex Sydney Hobart Race. Starting on Boxing Day, this annual regatta attracts some of the world's most famous boats and the best skippers in the business all hoping to take home the coveted trophy. On top of all this, it also attracts some seriously starry celebrities.

This year's winner was the 30.45 metre Hodgdon Comanche owned by Jim Clark. Here his wife, Australian supermodel and actress Kristy Hinze-Clark, who was on board throughout the race celebrates the team's victory.

Despite having to retire early from the race Perpetual Loyal was a strong contender for the starriest yacht on the water thanks to a team comprising of no fewer than four celebrities. Former NRL player Anthony Minichiello (right) and Wallabies player Kurtley Beale (left) joined the ranks of sports stars spotted on superyachts, while Australian television presenter Erin Molan added a little glamour to proceedings.

The trio were also joined by former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke who shared this snap of himself being interviewed by team mate Erin Molan at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia before the event. Not used to life on the water, Clarke said he was worried about seasickness but that it felt very special to be part of the race.
