Newly available for charter, the 51.7m sloop Prana ranks number 33 in our list of the largest sailing yachts in the world. She was launched by Alloy Yachts in July 2006 as Kokomo and was later renamed Konkordia. Upon her recent sale she was given the new name of Prana.
An accomplished performance yacht, Prana has participated in numerous regattas in her time, including the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta.

Designed for use in both temperate and tropical climes, the yacht’s indoor and outdoor areas work well together. There are four main guest areas: the aft deck, flying bridge, cockpit and saloon. The aft deck has a huge U-shaped custom-made sofa, shaded by umbrellas, where guests can sit in sea breezes, watching the wake and the world go by.

Aft of this, three steps down, is the cockpit, which provides a shady retreat in the heat of the day. This expansive area accommodates a outdoor dining table with both banquette and chair seating, and a couple of sofas on either side of a coffee table. Extra shade cloths extend out from the flying bridge over the the dining table.

Curved sliding glass doors lead seamlessly from the cockpit to the saloon, where broad wengé floor boards echo the teak outside. A bar is just inside to port. The saloon makes the most of the yacht’s 10 metre beam with a comfortable seating area, a 10-seater dining table and plenty of space to move around.

Prana can accommodate 12 guests in five cabins, which are all on one level, reached from the companionway on the starboard side of the saloon. Two double cabins are situated forward of the stairs, while two twin cabins with Pullman berths aft and the full-beam master cabin is furthest aft.

Guest accommodation is decorated in an understated combination of wengé, walnut and pale fabrics. All the cabins have portholes, electric blinds, individual climate control, mood lighting and music systems. The en suite shower rooms feature marble countertops and sheet glass-lined showers.

From the cockpit an open staircase with floating treads leads up to the flybridge. Under sail this is the nerve centre of the yacht, but it also provides privacy for the owners and guests – a place to retreat to from the comings and goings of the crew. The main deck area is completely dedicated to relaxation and entertainment, including a spa pool.

Prana will be available for charter in the Western Mediterranean this summer at €185,000 per week. She is also available in the Caribbean in the winter. A crew of nine will be on hand to cater to guests’ needs and ensure a memorable and enjoyable time on board.
