All Ocean Yachts sells expedition yacht Phoenix

Steve Reoch at All Ocean Yachts sends news that he's closed on the sale of his central listing, the 39.6m motor yacht Phoenix, representing buyer and seller.

Built by Davie Shipbuilding and launched in 1973, she has served as an expedition and research vessel, ice sheathed with a range capable of traveling halfway around the world. She had a thorough $10 million-plus conversion in 2004/2008 in Rockland, Maine, and now has a new yacht interior and all systems refurbished or replaced. A large crane and deck space allow for research and tender or submarine deployment and storage.

Phoenix was hauled and painted in Spring 2011 and was lying in Norfolk, Virginia, asking $2.35 million.
