Feadship motor yacht Illusion for sale

The 55.47 metre motor yacht Illusion has been listed for sale by Kevin Merrigan and David Seal at Northrop & Johnson.

Designed by De Voogt, she was built in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Feadship to Lloyds class and delivered in 1983. In 2010 a major refit at Pendennis saw her receive a five metre extension to accommodate a new beach club and garage while her teak decks were renewed and she received a fresh interior from Bannenberg & Rowell.

Accommodation is for 12 guests in six cabins consisting of a master and VIP suite on the main deck with two doubles and two twins below, all with entertainment centres, television screens and en suite bathroom facilities. In addition, there are quarters for 14 crew in a double and six en suite twin cabins.

An expansive main saloon has a warm, welcoming décor and offers several separate seating areas for intimate conversations or full-blown entertainment helped by a generous bar and an entertainment centre including a 42 inch plasma television screen. Further forward, a large oval table seating 12 guests could serve equally well as a formal dining area or a conference centre.

The 2010 refit of this yacht for sale saw several enhancements made to Illusion’s outdoor areas and she now boasts a vast aft deck featuring a table seating 12 guests and a full bar, ensuring that al fresco cocktails and dining go with a swing. Up on the sun deck the fun continues, helped by sun pads, bar, barbecue grill and a Jacuzzi spa tub. Twin 1,125hp Caterpillar diesel engines give her a range of 3,500 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Illusion is asking $9,500,000.
