Price drop on Royal Huisman sailing yacht Foftein Star

The 25.65 metre sailing yacht Foftein Star, listed for sale by Manfred Haas at Haas International, has had a €200,000 price reduction.

Built in aluminium by Dutch yard Royal Huisman to a design by Henry Scheel, she was delivered in 1989 to an experienced yachtsman with a passion for diving and filming marine life worldwide. A classic sailing ketch with a beautiful sheerline, clipper bow, elliptical stern and moderate draft, her entire conception is based upon the owner’s desire for comfort and convenience below decks, as well as safety and seaworthiness.

Accommodation on this yacht for sale is for four to five guests in a forward master cabin and a twin to port with a Pullman berth, both with en-suite shower facilities.

A full refit in 2006 saw her receive a full repaint of the hull, superstructure and masts, new stainless steel rod rigging and the replacement of all deck fittings with new stainless steel Rondal deckware. There was also a reduction in size of the engine room to allow for a complete redesign of the forward guest area and modernisation of the accommodation cabins to include en-suite facilities. Finally, all the interior and exterior woodwork was re-varnishedand the 170hp Gardner engine was completely rebuilt, too.

Lying in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Foftein Star is now asking €1.55 million with VAT included.
