Taking place in spring in Europe’s largest yacht marina, the Antibes Yacht Show is the first of the Mediterranean season. The event showcases about 150 yachts – both motor and sailing – from 15 to 65 metres in length for sale and for charter, and the timing means potential buyers or charterers have the opportunity to find their ideal yacht in time for the summer. Owners looking to refit their yachts are also catered for with the Refit Area, first introduced in 2011.
The 2012 show
Many yachts will host cocktails on board during the new late night opening on Friday 13 April, and on the last day of the show a ‘Yacht Hop Day’ will allow exhibiting brokers to visit participating yachts.
At the Seminar Area one of the highlights will be the seminar held by the International Superyacht Society in cooperation with the Professional Yachting Association and Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association.
VIP visitors wishing to take a bit of time out from the hubbub of the show can avail themselves of the VIP lounge where they can relax with a glass of champagne. VIP badge holders also have a limousine service at their disposal for airport and hotel transfers, a VIP car park for private cars or a VIP shuttle.
The Crew Lounge is returning this year and will be serving complimentary drinks all day, while captains can retreat to their own Captain’s Lounge on the terrace of the Bastion St Jaume.
The next Antibes Yacht Show runs 12 – 15 April 2012.
