Now extended to six days, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show heralds the start of the Caribbean yacht charter season. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2011, it attracts some of the most prestigious luxury charter yachts in the world, with yacht brokers, captains and yacht owners from all over the world attending.
The upcoming show
In December this year, more than 100 motor and sailing yachts will converge on Falmouth Harbour and Nelson’s Dockyard, located in the picturesque and historic south of the island.
Last year’s highlights included the 66 metre Natita (Oceanco), the 68 metre Sycara V (Nobiskrug), the 75 metre Phocea (DCAN), the 71.71 metre Kogo (Alstom), the 76 metre Princess Mariana (Royal Denship) and the 88 metre Maltese Falcon (Perini Navi). Great things are expected at this year’s event.
There are numerous events throughout the show, ranging from presentations to dinners, and the final day provides the opportunity to cruise Antigua’s stunning coastal waters and islands aboard some of the finest charter yachts in the Caribbean.
The show takes place 2-8 December 2012, Antigua, West Indies.
