Superyacht Design Symposium
This symposium is a well established event on the superyacht calendar, which draws some of the biggest names in the industry to debate and deliberate over hot topics in superyacht design.
Owners, designers, builders and project managers convene in Palm Beach each October for two days of debate and discussion on pre-determined topics which are presented by experts in their fields, or fielded by a panel.
The event is an unparalleled platform for networking and sharing knowledge, ideas and innovations with some of the superyacht industry’s most influential figures. The dynamic yet intimate format of the event facilitates introductions and the first class social programme provides an ideal opportunity to network and cultivate new relationships.
The upcoming symposium
24 and 25 October 2011, Palm Beach, Florida
The programme for the fourth annual symposium is being finalised, but with an eye on keeping updated with key issues.
Speakers this year will include design luminaries such as Andrew Winch who will talk about the use of glass on superyachts, and a representative of Marshall Islands Registry who will discuss MLO/MLC regulations.
This will be followed by a panel discussion on the advantages of refit versus new build, chaired by Nigel Campbell. Case studies will include Attessa IV, presented by Robert Kertell of Glade Johnson Design.
