BOAT International is thrilled to announce the launch of a daily WhatsApp channel, meaning you can now get daily superyacht news delivered straight to your phone.

Never miss a big story and be the first to receive breaking news as it happens. Each day, our dedicated news team will bring you important updates, features and insightful interviews.

Downloading takes seconds. Here's how:

1. If you are reading this on your mobile phone, you can sign up now here.

2. If you are reading this on desktop, scan the QR code below. Once you have scanned the code, you will be taken to a page to join our channel. Click the 'follow' button.

3. Once you have joined the channel, click on the channel info page and click the ‘unmute button’, so you are notified each time a story is published.

4. Channels appear under the ‘updates’ tab. On an iPhone, you can find this at the bottom-left of the menu bar. Android users will find it in the middle at the top of the screen.

YOUR WHATSAPP QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Will I be spammed with hundreds of updates as soon as I join the channel?

No, we promise to send only a carefully curated selection of the day's most important stories.

Will it mean I get dragged into conversations with other people?

No. Our Whatsapp channel is solely a broadcast channel - this means you can ‘like’ or ‘share’ stories, but you and other group members can’t make comments.

What if I change my mind?

Of course, we would hate to see you go, but you can unfollow us at any time!

I'm not sure I want people to see I've joined. What about privacy?

Firstly, you are not visible to other followers. They can’t see when you follow or what stories you interact with. WhatsApp’s privacy policy means your phone number is protected.

BOAT admins can see your profile name but they can’t see your full phone number unless they have already saved you as a contact. They may see your profile photo based on your privacy settings. For more information on privacy, go to our Whatsapp profile page and click ‘Profile Privacy’.
