Cantieri di Pisa's 25.4-metre 80VELOCE model is currently under construction in Pisa and is expected to be delivered in summer 2023. The carbon fibre model was commissioned for an experienced owner and the build began in January 2023, according to a representative of the yard.
The yacht marks the first project to be built under the Cantieri di Pisa brand after it went through a rebranding. Recent R&D efforts by the yard have focused on weight reduction and its impact on performance and fuel efficiency, drawing inspiration from America's Cup sailing boats.
As a result, the 80VELOCE will live up to her name with speeds of between 50 and 60 knots while maintaining a modest weight of around 48,000 kilograms.
The yacht's design comes from Etienne Salomé, while exterior details and interior design is by Redaelli Associati.
One of the yacht's distinguishing features is an LED light that runs from the bow along the superstructure, which is expected to be a future design signature of Cantieri di Pisa's superyacht.
80VELOCE will have a beam of 6.2-metres and a draft of 1.3-metres. A fuel capacity of 8000 litres and triple 2000 Hp v12 MAN engines will allow a range of 300 nautical miles at cruising speed.
The 80VELOCE will have an open cockpit with sunpads connected to a semi-alfresco interior lounge area. Details about the cabin configuration and other amenities have yet to be disclosed by the yard.
The construction update comes shortly after Cantieri di Pisa revealed its new Akhir line.
