Kingship's Essence superyacht concept offers new level of luxury for owners

2 October 2011

Kingship's newest Essence concept is a 42.5m motor yacht, which it claims is the first yacht of its size with a completely private owners' deck.

The design comes from the boards of Italian designer Horacio Bozzo from Axis Group Yacht Design, who also designed Green Voyager, a 43.9 metre motor yacht which is currently in build at Kingship's yard in China.

‘Usually on a boat of this size just a portion of a deck is dedicated to the owners, with little privacy,’ says Bozzo, founder of Axis. ‘On Essence we manage to have a complete deck – the one with the best views - completely private and solely dedicated to them – that’s something that owners are asking for more and more.’

‘The master cabin has a sliding roof, allowing you to lie in bed and see the stars, and continuous windows along the cabin side that give unobstructed views around you. Wherever you are in the owners’ cabin, you have a view.’

Indeed, even in the bathroom forward of the suite, which is flooded with natural light from large skylights, owners can enjoy a panorama. Alternatively, they can venture further forward and enjoy it from an area with sunpads, sofas and a spa pool. The aft owners’ deck, meanwhile, offers the ingredients for a relaxed evening – a barbecue and a large outdoor television and AV system.

Essence is designed to accommodate 10 guests in five cabins and up to eight crew members in four cabins. Her two CAT C32, 1081kW engines will offer an estimated top speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 13.5 knots, with a range of 4,000nm at 12 knots.
