Oyster Yachts has announced the Oyster World Rally 2028-2029. The 16-month event will see a fleet of 30 yachts embark on a fully-supported circumnavigation of the world. Entries open on 18 June 2024.
When the journey is complete, the yachts will have sailed 27,000 nautical miles and made 27 stopovers. The rally begins in Antigua, with Tahiti, Cairns, Grenada and an extended stopover in Cape Town for New Year's celebrations also on the agenda.
All entrants will receive 24/7 logistical, technical and administrative support and pre-rally training courses in coral reef navigation, diving, meteorology and how to navigate the Panama Canal transit, to name a few. They will also be provided with berthing and mooring arrangements at key destinations.
"Go for it! Life's way too short. Even if you think you can't do it, you can do it," said Susan White, owner of the Oyster 625 Makara. "With the right preparation, the right boat and the right attitude, you can definitely figure it all out."
The Oyster World Rally 2024-2025 is currently underway.
