Guide to last-minute luxury yacht charters at Cannes Film Festival

The Cannes Film Festival kicked off yesterday and there is no better way to experience the glamour and party atmosphere then on a superyacht in Cannes. The festival runs over 12 days finishing on the 24 May during which time a host of actors, actresses, celebrities and directors will head for the Côte d'Azur.

If you want to be part of the action then there is still a wide range of yachts available for a last-minute charter in Cannes. Here is our selection of some of the best options still on the market at the Cannes Film Festival:

Amphitrite

You can step onto a film set with  Amphitrite. Her rich, bohemian interior and 1930s gentleman’s yacht exterior disguise a completely modern vessel with state-of-the-art technology. Apache II

With exterior design by Francesco Paszkowski this 44m motor yacht was built in 2009. Her main saloon and dining areas have balconies that unfold over the sea to give stunning infinity views and master suite features photosensitive skylights. Apache II has five cabins which can accommodate 10 guests.

Blue Ice

This 45.72m motor yacht is sleek, sporty and elegant. She was built in the Palmer Johnson shipyard and designed by Nuvolari & Lenard. Launched in 2009 and refitted in 2014 she can accommodate 10 to 12 guests in 5 suites. Blue Ice also has a large range of toys, spacious sunbathing, new gym and Jacuzzi on fly bridge.

Cristalex

This 30.5m motor yacht was delivered by Azimut in 2006. She accommodates eight guests in two double and two twin staterooms and has a Jacuzzi on the sundeck. Cristalex has a strong environmental focus with an emphasis on sourcing organic and local produce.

Dionea

This 51.8m motor yacht has extensive deck spaces which mean that she can entertain up to 120 guests on board for cocktail parties. Dionea has accommodation is for up to 12 guests in six comfortable cabins

Dyna R

Built in 2013 this 36.90m yacht has quickly become popular on the charter market. She has an extended sundeck with oversized Jacuzzi, retractable sunroof and lounge areas. Dyna R is child-friendly and versatile and can accommodate up to 10 guests.

Eol B

Available from the 21 May onwards

Built in 2005 this 34m motor yacht large retractable sunroof meaning that the bar can either be inside or outside. Her impressive entertainment facilities also make her a fun option for a Cannes Film Festival charter. Eol B can accommodate eight guests across four cabins.

Highlander

The recently rebuilt, historic 50m (162’) motor yacht was originally commissioned from Feadship by her owner, Malcolm Forbes and was delivered in 1986. Famous for hosting dinner parties for royalty and celebrities she new received a new Bannenberg & Rowell interior in 2014. Highlander features seven staterooms comfortably accommodating up to 12 guests.

Icon

This 67.5m motor yacht was recently refitted and extended an extra five metres. She now boasts a new glass bottomed pool, an expanded Beach Club, larger gym, a new Hammam and a sauna. Icon can accommodate 12 guests in six cabins and has 17 crew.

Jackie One

Available from 23 May onwards

This 25.90 metres motor yacht was built in 2002 and refitted in 2007 and 2009. In 2014, all her exterior cushions and Bimini were replaced and new blinds and a new carpet were installed throughout. Jackie One has four staterooms and can accommodate eight guests.

Miss Candy

This Versilcraft Super Challenger 96, can accommodate eight guests in four staterooms. Miss Candy has a large separate dining room, all in wood with a warm atmosphere. Her large equipped flybridge can also accommodate up to 24 people.

My Zehava

This 28.32m Benetti motor yacht was built in 2014 and has impressive leisure and entertainment facilities. She is a semi custom Delfino 93' and has a Jacuzzi on deck. Zehava can accommodate 10 guests across five cabins.

Ocean Paradise

This 55m motor yacht is set apart by her quirky touches which include a futuristic main salon, a Japanese Zen garden and retro arcade games table in the sky lounge. She also has a DJ set-up on the sundeck for any parties. Ocean Paradise can accommodate 12 guests and her master cabin features a private balcony.

Rola

Rola has been completely refitted and will be unveiling her brand new, contemporary Cristiano Gatto interior at the Cannes Film Festival. This 47.5m yacht has a fantastic, uncluttered sun deck with a jacuzzi and bar, making it the ideal place to see and be seen. She had five cabins, which can accommodate 11 guests and has a crew of 10.

Originally built in 1972 and then expertly refitted in 2008 this classic yacht offers a combination of modern amenities with romantic elegance. She has large deck areas, a Jacuzzi as well as a vast selection of watertoys. Shake N Bake TBD offers accommodation for 12 guests in seven staterooms.

Sherakhan

With accommodation for 26 guests Sherakhan offers fantastic entertainment opportunities. This 69.60m motor yacht has a 7m high atrium with dining room, a fully equipped gym and spa. Sofia 3

Motor yacht Sofia 3 is a great option for those looking to entertain as her teak decks can host up to 60 people. Built in 2008 and styled by Francesco Paszkowski she can accommodate10 guests across five cabins.

Sultana

This 26m Feadship motor yacht was built in 1969 and underwent a complete custom rebuild between 2008 and 2012. Her eco friendly design means that she has exceptionally low fuel consumption — 30% less than comparable yachts of her size. Sultana accommodates eight guests in four cabins.

Sunliner X
Available from 21 May onwards

This 36m motor yacht was built in 1990 by Siar Moschin. She went through a major interior refit in 2014 with new cabins, new salon, new wall pictures throughout the yacht. Sunliner X can host up to 45 guests comfortably making her great for a static charter. She has four cabins that can accommodate eight guests.

Titania

With 73m to play with, Titania will be one of the biggest yachts in the bay during Cannes Film Festival. Her vast deck spaces can host a dockside party for up to 200 guests, with the beach club converting to an exclusive floating nightclub. Five-star service, spacious accommodation and on board spa and beauty facilities combine to make Titania one of the best venues in town. She has seven cabins with can accommodate 12 guests and has a crew of 20.
