British design studio Winch Design has revealed the first renderings of its 80-metre superyacht concept, named Reverie, a model that belongs to Oceanco's Simply Custom range. The range was first presented at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2023.
To be built on a proven platform by Lateral Naval Architects, the Simply Custom model aims to offer a new type of customisable superyacht. Reverie is based around "a state of being pleasantly lost in one’s thoughts or a daydream", reflected in the yacht's delicately sculpted hull and simple forms. Initial renderings reveal a neutral interior with soft lighting.
The three-deck yacht revolves around a "beach and wellness" experience with onboard highlights including a lower deck spa, gym and waterside access connected to a shaded pool aft. The design also includes a main deck "pool lounge" to bring family enjoyment to "an often underused space" and reduce the need for air conditioning systems by integrating interior and exterior spaces.
Owners have a choice of two layouts: a forward-facing master suite complete with forward pool terrace, or alternatively an aft master suite privately connected to an owner's lounge and generous sun deck. Meanwhile, guests are comfortably accommodated in combination bedroom/sitting room suites, with a dedicated lounge to the forward upper deck.
Jim Dixon, of Winch Design, said: "Our duty as a designer is to bring purpose, inspiration and innovation in our solutions to clients’ dreams. Gazing from our Thames-side studio, we see the beauty of a ‘slipper’ launch and the nature of the pebbled water’s edge, which came together as Reverie".
Oceanco most recently revealed Ani to BOAT International, the Simply Custom designed by the Rome-based studio Vallicelli Design.
