The 50 most expensive yachts for sale now

How much does a superyacht cost? The answer is not so simple. Much like a luxury watch or car, the asking price depends on a variety of factors such as age, pedigree and finish, with the largest and newest vessels peaking into the hundreds of millions. To give you a better idea, BOAT International rounds up the 50 most expensive yachts currently listed for sale, starting with Lady Lara...

Planet Nine

Asking €85,000,000 with Fraser
Credit: Thierry Ameller

Builder: Admiral - The Italian Sea Group
Length: 73.2m
Designer: Tim Heywood, Admiral Engineering, Mlinaric, Henry & Zervudachi

Planet Nine’s meticulous owner ensured that she was built to cruise the waters of Greenland, Antarctica and everywhere in between with ease. This is realised in the specially-designed ice-classed hull, constructed with thick hull plates, strong frames and bulkheads, and careful protection for her seawater intakes, to protect from cold temperatures and deal with sea ice up to 15 centimetres thick. Guests can enjoy 180-degree-views from the forward observation lounge, take a dip in the sundeck Jacuzzi, or relax in the spacious cinema. The dedicated owners' deck also comes complete with its own private lounge, terrace and study. The superyacht made an appearance in Christopher Nolan's mind-bending blockbuster Tenet.

Come Together

Asking €59,950,000 with Edmiston

Builder: Amels
Length: 60m
Designer: Giorgio M. Cassetta, Bannenberg & Rowell

The first unit in the Amels 60 series (and the only Amels 60 on the market), Come Together was commissioned by a serial superyacht owner who, unsurprisingly, happens to be a fan of The Beatles. Accommodation is for up to 12 guests and includes a vast owner's suite with folding balcony, office and lounge area. The guest cabins found on the lower deck benefit from direct access to the beach club where a large 38-square-metre swim platform, ice bath and sauna awaits. Her crowning glory, however, is a 27-metre sun deck complete with a raised sun lounging space, a Jacuzzi and a bar and an extendable dining table protected from the elements that seats up to 18 guests. As the sun sets, the space can be transformed into an open-air cinema or a party area with DJ decks.

W

Asking €49,950,000 with Edmiston

Builder: Feadship
Length: 57.6m
Designers: Feadship De Voogt, Bannenberg & Rowell

Delivered as Larisa in 2013, W cruised under the same owner until she was sold in 2019. A 10-month refit soon followed, which saw W emerge from Feadship's Holland facilities with a gleaming silver hull, a larger Jacuzzi and an all-new television lounge. "The best thing about W is that she is a steel-hulled Feadship – and nothing even comes close," said W's current owner. "She gives you the freedom to explore anywhere in the world, unlike coastal yachts built by other companies." She's our latest entry to the list, having joined the market in April 2024.

Book Ends

Asking €42,000,000 with Ocean Independence

Builder: Heesen
Length: 50m
Designers: Omega Architects, Van Oossanen Naval Architects, Cristiano Gatto Design

Book Ends follows Aquamarine as the second unit in the Dutch shipyard's 5000 Aluminium series. She was built by an experienced yachtsman and is in as-new condition with low hours and light owners use. Accommodation is for 12 guests in five cabins, including a full-beam (nine metre) owner's cabin forward on the main deck with marble bathroom, separate study and walk-in wardrobe. Book Ends' flex-use beach club is also worth noting – the broker envisions the space converted to a sea-level gym for morning workouts, a lounge area during the day and an entertainment space by night.
