Best yacht for a Spectre chase scene
James Bond could make a swift exit in the Xtender 16.1
From chase scenes to love scenes, James Bond films are synonymous with yachts. We know there will be yachts in the latest James Bond film Spectre, premiering in the UK on October 26. Daniel Craig, aka Bond, was spotted filming a scene on the Thames on board a boat earlier this year, London being just one of the many James Bond movie locations that can be visited by luxury yacht.
The infamous spy 007 is often spotted on a fast superyacht launch, having to get away from trouble in a hurry. While any of the fastest superyacht tenders would be an ideal ride for Bond, we'd especially like to see this yacht in Spectre – the Xtender 16.1 – a long-range, 50 knot tender that’s built like a superyacht. Not only can it fly swiftly at 50 knots, but the Dubois Naval Architects designed yacht transforms into a floating island at anchor, allowing her to do double duty going from chase scene craft to sexy floating island for an encounter with the Bond girl du jour.
