The scimitar bow of Amels’ second Limited Editions 199 series semi-custom yacht, penned by Tim Heywood, is the big talking point. It increases length, speed and efficiency, and it means Madame Kate performs more like a 65 metre superyacht.

Benetti shows off the talents of its own designers at the show with 60 metre superyacht Formosa, penned in-house and launched at the end of last year. The custom yacht has a private owner’s deck and sleeps 12 guests. Dutch studio Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design, known for its sleek modern style, is responsible for the interiors.

Large windows deliver the former and accommodation for just eight give the latter, with two cabins combining to rival the VIP and owner’s suite.
