The sporty 29m Mangusta heading to auction this October

When the gavel falls this October, one sporty Italian superyacht will be waiting to find its next custodian. Mine Set is a 28.7-metre Mangusta 94 launched in 2016 by Overmarine Group. Up for auction with Boathouse Auctions, BOAT takes a closer look…

Built in GRP with all design and naval architecture carried out in-house, Mine Set showcases the sporty silhouette that has become synonymous with Mangusta. With three decks, she has plenty of outdoor space to enjoy life on the water while her 135GT volume offers generous interior spaces for entertaining and relaxing.

Built for outdoor living

Life on board Mine Set is centred around the sun and sea. Her bow area is a peaceful retreat, complete with U-shaped seating around a table – perfect for a secluded morning coffee – and a vast forward sunpad for soaking up the day’s views. Meanwhile, the aft cockpit serves as the yacht’s social hub, with sofas, a dining table and more sunpads creating an inviting lounge for family and friends. Just steps away, the swim platform provides easy access to the water, complemented by a tender garage in the transom for toys and tenders.

Ascending to the sundeck, guests are greeted with yet another al fresco dining table – an idyllic spot for starlit dinners and long evenings at anchor.

Stylish Italian interiors

Inside, Mine Set features a classic design with natural woods and creams, offering a blank canvas for a new owner to imprint their own style. The saloon is airy and sociable, with a large U-shaped sofa and TV for movie nights, as well as a sliding sunroof that floods the space with light and brings an indoor-outdoor vibe. A pantry and bar sit aft for convenient access to the cockpit, perfect for hosting.

Unusually, Mine Set features a custom staircase inside the saloon leading directly to the sundeck. This design frees the aft deck for entertaining and manoeuvring, showcasing thoughtful use of space.

Below deck, a second lounge doubles as an office, offering a quiet retreat. Accommodation is provided for six guests across three en suite cabins: a master stateroom amidships stretching the full 6.4-metre beam, a VIP suite in the bow and a twin cabin to starboard. Separate crew quarters for four are tucked aft, complete with a galley.

Performance and comfort

True to Mangusta’s heritage, Mine Set is a yacht built for speed and agility. Powered by twin MTU 2,600hp 16V2000 M96L engines, she cruises at 20 knots and reaches up to 30 knots at top speed. Her efficient planing hull delivers a smooth ride, with two Seakeeper stabilisers for added comfort. With a shallow draught of just 1.6 metres, she can explore bays and shallow anchorages that many larger yachts cannot reach.

There are two helm stations on board for the owner and captain to choose between: a large three-seater station with side deck access forward of the main-deck saloon, and a flybridge for an exhilarating drive with the wind in your hair.

Mine Set will be offered for sale through Boathouse Auctions, in collaboration with Brandon Kummer of Kitson Yachts. The online bidding period runs from 9–14 October 2025, with an opening bid of $1,900,000.
