Riana for sale
A 42m sailing yacht where heritage meets high-performance hospitality

There are yachts that turn heads in the harbour, and then there are yachts that change the atmosphere entirely. The 42-metre sailing yacht Riana belongs firmly in the latter category.

Custom-designed by Roberto Scalvini and completed in 2009 by Silyon Yachts, Riana has always been conceived as something more than a private pleasure yacht. Following a comprehensive refit in 2025 and the completion of her latest five-year survey, she re-enters the brokerage market operating commercially under the Maltese flag as a turnkey, charter-proven platform, perfect for private parties, high-end events and visionary brand experiences.
A hull that evokes the golden age of yachting
At anchor, Riana’s epoxy-coated mahogany hull catches the light beautifully, and her classic lines and long overhangs “evoke the golden age of yachting”, conjuring images of Riviera summers, linen shirts and the soft clink of crystal at sunset.

Yet beneath the surface lies a vessel engineered for performance, stability and efficiency. Her naval architecture delivers “exceptional fluid dynamics”, contributing to smooth, efficient motion whether crossing the Adriatic or cruising the Mediterranean coast. At nine to 10 knots, she consumes approximately 65 to 75 litres per hour, offering a range of around 800 nautical miles. According to the owner, she is classified within the top 30 per cent of efficient yachts globally by length overall.
Volume, flow and a sense of sanctuary
Step inside and the interiors are defined by natural finishes and a restrained palette that “emphasises calm and spatial clarity”, while custom furnishings foster a “sanctuary-like” atmosphere.

Accommodation is arranged for eight to 10 guests across five cabins, making her ideally scaled for private owners, boutique charter programmes or curated executive retreats. High ceilings amplify the sense of volume, while expansive glazing draws the outside in. Days begin with light filtering softly across timber floors and end with low-lit conversations stretching long past dinner. Crucially for commercial operation, Riana’s layout has also been conceived with efficient spatial flow for crew.
Three stages for life outdoors
Life on board unfolds across three expansive outdoor social zones - the flybridge, foredeck and aft deck – which, over the years, have welcomed discerning travellers, distinguished leaders, royalty and celebrities.

The foredeck transforms from a shaded midday chill-out spot to a front-row seat beneath the stars. The aft deck, meanwhile, provides a natural setting for al fresco dining, from relaxed family lunches to formal dinners for high-profile guests. Above, the flybridge becomes an elevated lounge, equally suited sunbathing or sunset cocktails.
Her proportions allow for both intimacy and scale - cosy corners for private conversation and generous open areas for hosting brand launches, leadership summits or curated cultural gatherings.
