In the 20- to 50-metre segment, few shipyards deliver the space, style and personality quite like EXTRA Yachts. The name itself embodies the brand’s philosophy: offering something more – in terms of volumes, liveability and design – compared to traditional yachts in the same category.
A brand of Palumbo Superyachts, EXTRA was created to transfer into CE yachts the advanced construction techniques and know-how gained from decades of experience in the naval sector and in the building of large yachts. This unique background translates into contemporary, liveable yachts with bold profiles, panoramic glazing and a strong social flow. Each model is conceived to maximise onboard lifestyle, with generous interiors and exterior areas designed for lounging, entertaining and enjoying the water.
But EXTRA is not a “one-size-fits-all” brand. Its portfolio spans four distinct series – Fast, Triplex, Villa and Global – each interpreting a different way of experiencing life on board. Whether you prioritise speed, comfort, sustainability or long-range exploration, there is an EXTRA yacht designed to match your mindset.
Fast
Think of the Fast line as EXTRA’s answer to the modern performance cruiser – streamlined, fast and ready for anything. These yachts are designed to bring you closer to the water with dynamic outdoor spaces and direct sea access, all while delivering serious horsepower.
The new X110 Fast, the flagship of the line, embodies this spirit with a 33-knot top speed, bold vertical bow and an 85-square-metre multi-level aft deck that includes a beach club, lounge and open-air kitchen. Exteriors are designed by Agon Studio and the light and airy interiors are by Giuseppina Arena.
If you're heading to the Cannes Yachting Festival, look out for X90 Fast, the first unit of which – named Iva - will make her debut at the show. With exteriors and interiors by Hot Lab and three IPS 1350 Volvo Penta engines, the X90 Fast reaches up to 29 knots while still offering a full-beam owner’s suite, four guest cabins and 86 square metres of exterior space.
For something more compact, the X56 Fast, designed by Agon Studio, delivers the same Fast DNA in a nimble 17-metre frame maintaining all the hallmark features of EXTRA Yachts. With drop-down windows, stern-opening balconies, convertible lounges and automotive-inspired lines, it’s the line’s entry-level model and ideal for short coastal hops.
Best for: Weekend thrill-seekers, island hoppers and socialites who want speed and comfort in equal measure
Triplex
EXTRA’s Triplex series, designed by Agon Studio for the exteriors and Laura Brocchini for interiors, brings the grandeur of a tri-deck layout into a smart, modular platform. With interior volumes rivalling much larger yachts and outdoor areas designed for sociability, these models are all about flexibility and comfort.
At 40 metres and more than 400GT, the X130 Triplex features a mezzanine fire pit area that connects seamlessly to the 60-square-metre beach club below, while the panoramic sundeck includes an infinity pool and bar. Two layout options for the owner’s suite give you room to personalise.
The newer X100 Triplex scales this vision down to 28 metres but keeps the tri-deck format and long-range credentials with about 300GT. Powered by twin MAN V12 engines, it cruises at 15 knots with impressive fuel efficiency. Inside, guests enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows, five en suite cabins and the relaxed air of a floating beach house.
Best for: The entertaining traditionalist who values long-distance cruising
Villa
The Villa line offers the ambience of a seaside villa in a forward-thinking package. Interiors feel curated and homely, while panoramic glazing throughout creates a strong connection to the surrounding seascape.
The standout here is the X30 Villa, a 30-metre aluminium catamaran designed by Phathom. Featuring hybrid propulsion and solar-glass panels, it reflects a greener approach to yachting. Inside, recycled fibres, reclaimed woods and alternative leathers are paired with a bright, natural aesthetic.
Best for: Eco-conscious, design-obsessed cruisers who want quiet getaways with all the comforts of home
Global
The Global line is a new concept which combines the rugged soul of an explorer with the polished elegance of a superyacht.. Designed by Agon Studio for extended world cruising, these yachts are built on displacement hulls with serious autonomy, high-volume interiors and resilient engineering.
The newly revealed X145 Global is purpose-built for globe-trotting. With a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she boasts a 4,000-nautical-mile range at 10 knots and RINA C and Red Ensign classification. With 499GT, the yacht accommodates four suites on a dedicated deck. The owner enjoys a private deck with a full-beam master suite, complete with an exclusive terrace. Vast exterior decks create multiple moments for dining, relaxation and entertainment (including a gym, jet ski, water toys and a 9,5mt tender), or simply watching the horizon roll by.
Best for: Owners with a taste for exclusive, far-flung cruising
