Palumbo Superyachts Refit (PSY) now has five yards in strategic locations, making it the largest refit and repair network in the Mediterranean.
With bases in Ancona, Malta, Marseilles, Naples and Savona, PSY Refit is ready to help customers find the closest yard to them, offering complete peace of mind when cruising in the region.
The network’s range of comprehensive facilities includes a 3,300 ton syncrolift in Ancona and four travel lifts across the network capable of lifting 560 tones in Ancona, 410 tons in Malta, 520 tons in Naples and 820 tons in Savona.
The Marseille facility is also equipped with a climate-controlled paint watershed, while a total of 14 dry docks are spread across the Malta, Marseille and Naples sites.
All yards are equipped with specialised yacht chandlers as well as rest and recreational facilities for crew, such as gyms, restaurants, spas and wellness centres. Accommodation and a yacht concierge are also on site.
Yard managers, sales teams and former captains comprise this international network, all of which are ready to provide support for yachts in steel, aluminium and GRP ranging from 30 to 120 metres.
Cost-effective, transparent and dedicated support is offered to owner’s representatives and yacht managers, with the network able to undertake a comprehensive range of services. These include full-cycle assistance to keep yachts in peak condition, as well as both technical and design upgrades.
It comes after PSY Refit’s Marseille facility recently completed a successful 20 Year Special Survey on the 1999-built 77 metre Amels Boadicea, keeping in close contact with Fraser throughout the project.
The refit yard worked tirelessly to bring the yacht up to Lloyd’s Register requirements. The refit saw worn out plates in the hull and tanks replaced, while the hull was completely repainted after areas of corrosion were discovered. Section of the deck’s teak were recaulked while plumbing and pipe works were carried out.
