Built by Perini Navi with naval architecture by Ron Holland, Perseus 3 was launched in 2015 as the second hull in their series of 60 metre cruiser/racers. This sloop-rigged superyacht features an ultra-lightweight carbon fibre mast - at 78 metres high it’s one of the tallest ever built - as well as a phenomenal 10,000 square metres of sails. In fact, her spinnaker is the largest single sail in the world (measuring 2,602 square metres it's bigger than all 15 of Maltese Falcon’s sails combined), and is owed to her unique bowsprit configuration.
With such credentials, Perseus 3 is highly attuned to regatta competition and can often be spotted on the superyacht racing circuit. She’s competed in the 2015 Perini Navi Cup, 2016 St Barths Bucket, and won her class at the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta in 2017.
And when she’s not flying around a race course, Perseus 3 is well set-up for entertaining friends and family. An enormous foredeck offers plenty of space for relaxing in the sun and is complete with a heated pool, while hidden beneath is stowage for her two 6.3 metre custom tenders. The flybridge is a social hub on board Perseus 3 with plentiful seating, casual al fresco dining, aft sun pads and a BBQ. Meanwhile, evening drinks and al fresco meals can be enjoyed in the aft lounge and dining area, which is nicely sheltered from the elements by wraparound glass panels.
