The name Quantum of Solace speaks volumes, evoking images of the glitz and glamour associated with the James Bond films, and Turquoise Yachts’ 72.6-metre superyacht is just that. Boasting seven luxurious staterooms able to accommodate 12 guests, Quantum of Solace features a wealth of onboard amenities that make her stand out on the yacht charter market. With the summer Mediterranean season on the horizon, BOAT delves into Quantum of Solace’s luxurious onboard offerings.

A rare find on the charter market

Step on board the Quantum of Solace and instantly discover a rare find. She is just one of four yachts in the world to feature a double-height atrium in the main saloon. With its grand piano, this space is an open, welcoming environment, perfect for family holidays. Ascend to the bridge deck to find the expansive owner’s suite, stretching the full 12-metre beam and adorned with private terraces. Meanwhile, the main deck hosts six spacious guest cabins, each appointed with walk-in wardrobes and ensuites featuring heated flooring.

Another noteworthy feature is Quantum of Solace’s entire deck dedicated to the spa. Opening out onto the sea, the spa boasts a hydraulic terrace and an array of amenities, including a fully kitted out gym with new equipment, a hammam, sauna, Jacuzzi, large walk-in shower room and therapy rooms. Guests can indulge in a range of rejuvenating treatments at their leisure, courtesy of the yacht’s onboard stewardess who is a qualified spa therapist.

The crew of Quantum of Solace elevates the experience further with their exceptional skills and dedication. Another stewardess is a passionate yoga enthusiast, inviting guests to join in on invigorating practices on the yacht’s helipad located on the bow, offering panoramic views of the surroundings.

When it comes to food, the onboard Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef specialises in French and European techniques, with deep-rooted influences in Peruvian and Latin cuisine. With the help of a competent sous chef in the galley, they are also sushi-trained and adept at catering to all dietary requirements and preferences.

Refitted to perfection

Following a comprehensive refit in 2023, Quantum of Solace transformed, enhancing both its technical features and guest amenities. Among the notable upgrades, the sundeck is a highlight, now adorned with new sunpads enveloping the five-metre swimming pool, which can be converted into a Jacuzzi. The sundeck now also boasts a new large-screen TV, allowing guests to enjoy picture-perfect movie nights beneath the stars.

Additionally, the refit project introduced a state-of-the-art sound system in the exterior areas. Fresh deck furniture and upholstery elevate the aesthetics, showcasing a modern and minimalist style characterised by cream covers complemented by warm tones.

A fully stocked toybox

Quantum of Solace's toybox is brimming with everything you need to make the sea your playground. For thrill-seekers, explore the jet skis, wakeboards and water skis for high-speed excitement. Fishing enthusiasts will find themselves equipped with top-notch gear, while sports enthusiasts can indulge in friendly matches with tennis rackets or practice their swing at the driving range, complete with eco-friendly fish food balls for guilt-free fun.

Delve into the underwater wonders with snorkelling equipment and Seabobs or glide gracefully atop the waves with paddleboards and electric foil boards. There are also an array of inflatables, including a thrilling new slide added just last year.

The yacht’s fleet of tenders allows guests to organise adventurous day trips. Among these tenders are two new additions - a custom 2024 eight-metre Novurania Chase 26 able to transport 12 guests and two crew propelled by a 320hp Volvo Penta engine and a 2024 8.1-metre Ribeye, accommodating the same capacity and powered by a 370hp Yanmar V8 engine.
