26 July 2018

Studio Indigo is that rare thing: a design studio that’s equally at home working on land, in the air or on the water. Founded in 2005 by Mike Fisher and based in an airy London loft space overlooking the River Thames, this full-service company boasts a 50-strong team of highly qualified and experienced architects, yacht designers, technicians, interior decorators, project managers and planning specialists.

Studio Indigo is renowned for its ability to enhance value through good design, based on an unrivalled knowledge of the luxury market and expert collaboration between its in-house designers. Exceptional organisational skills and individual support are at the core of every project, ensuring that every client receives the same professional and individual care.

Studio Indigo can handle all aspects of your yacht's design

When it comes to designing a yacht, building a strong relationship with the owner is paramount in understanding the brief and the lifestyle they would like to enjoy on board their vessels. Realising their vision, down to the smallest detail, is always Studio Indigo's first priority.

No boat is ever the same and the studio thrives on new challenges, whether it is an explorer yacht, breaking the extreme barriers of the Arctic, or a vessel designed for cruising the tranquil seas of the Caribbean. Studio Indigo's team travel the world in search of the finest artisans who can produce unique and exquisite pieces for each new project, from spectacular Italian flooring to hand-made rugs from Nepal.

Studio Indigo works closely with shipyards to ensure the end results meet the owner’s specification, while its in-house naval architect oversees marine legislation and technical requirements. Its most recently completed yacht, Joy, was an extremely successful collaboration with Bannenberg & Rowell and Feadship, winning a World Superyacht Award in Florence in 2017 and the Best in Show award at the MYBA Charter Show in Barcelona.

With specialists from 26 different nationalities working under a single roof and sharing ideas every day, Studio Indigo fosters a creative and collaborative approach that has won the company an enviable reputation in both the residential and yachting world.
