Salon Privé 2026, a premier luxury automotive gathering in the UK, has concluded at Blenheim Palace with record-breaking attendance figures exceeding 30,000 visitors across the week-long event in Oxfordshire, and Saturday's programme sold out completely.
The prestigious Concours made history this year by crowning two Best of Show winners for the first time in its 21-year existence, reflecting the evolving landscape of collector car culture and the growing significance of modern hypercars alongside classic automotive icons.
Attendees were drawn by an expanded programme featuring the return of the Automotive Manufacturer's Gallery, Ladies' Day by Boodles and appearances by motoring personality Richard Hammond.
The week opened on Wednesday with debuts from marquee brands including Lamborghini, BRABUS, Polestar, Electrogenic, Koenigsegg and Giamaro Automobili, showcasing the latest hypercars, restomods and electric vehicles to an eager audience.
Another significant development at this year's event was the introduction of a second Best of Show category, recognising the increasing importance of contemporary collector cars in the international market.
The traditional Concours d'Elégance award was presented to a 1969 Lamborghini Miura P400 S from the RLC Collection, owned by Amir Ravan. The stunning example competed in the class titled "The Italian Job - 60 Years of the Lamborghini Miura".
Making history as the inaugural winner of the new Best of Show Concours d'Excellence award was Terry Bramall's 1995 McLaren F1. The iconic supercar competed in the "Poster Cars - Icons from Our Youth" class, which celebrated early supercars that defined a generation of automotive enthusiasts.
The new award category was created specifically to honour entrants in Salon Privé's recently introduced limited-edition supercar and hypercar classes, acknowledging their growing prominence among serious collectors.
Chairman and co-founder Andrew Bagley comments on the evolution: "The great classics will always be at the heart of the Salon Privé Concours, but there's no question that modern supercars and hypercars are now hugely important to collectors too, and they deserve to be recognised in their own right."
The weekend's Concours de Vente featured classic cars from leading UK restorers and specialists, all available for purchase. Celebrity judge Richard Hammond joined the panel in selecting a 1994 Bugatti EB110 SS Prototype from Furlonger Specialist Cars as the Prix d'Honneur winner, with a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL from Bruce Greatham Classic Benz taking runner-up honours.
Saturday's Salon Privé Club Trophy by Lockton was awarded to an exceptionally rare 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster owned by Dr Kotecha and presented by Porsche Club Great Britain. The vehicle is one of only 19 right-hand-drive examples ever produced from a total production run of just 4,800 units.
Sunday's Lifestyle Club Trophy went to Mitchell Orchant of Drivers Union for his 2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante, a four-seat performance convertible featuring a 5.9-litre V12 engine and extensive carbon fibre construction.
Organisers have confirmed that Salon Privé will return to Blenheim Palace from Wednesday 1 September to Sunday 5 September 2027. The announcement follows the confirmation of Salon Privé London running on 15-17 April 2027.
"With Salon Privé rounding out the British Summer social season, we're delighted to confirm our 2027 dates,” says sales director David Bagley. “We will be back next year with even more historic motoring moments in both London and Oxfordshire."
The 2026 event marks the 21st edition of Salon Privé, following a landmark 20th-anniversary celebration in 2025. With expanded programming, new award categories and record attendance, the event continues to set the standard for luxury automotive gatherings in the UK and beyond.
