Sunseeker unveils new Manhattan 56 with fresh design aesthetic

5 November 2026 • Written by Hannah Rankine for Sunseeker

Sunseeker has unveiled the new Manhattan 56, the next chapter of the Manhattan story and a model the British builder describes as taking everything owners have loved about the range for decades and reimagining it for a new generation. The 17.2-metre motor yacht reworks the Manhattan design language, with the most visible changes centered on the exterior silhouette, social spaces and interior layout.

A cleaner, more contemporary exterior

The most immediate change to the Manhattan 56 is its exterior profile, which Sunseeker describes as cleaner and more contemporary than previous models in the range. Sweeping curves and stainless steel detailing replace some of the sharper lines seen on earlier Manhattan models, while expanded, uninterrupted glazing stretches across the hull. The effect is both visual and functional, as the extended glazing floods the interior with natural light, a theme that carries through much of the yacht's design.

New modular social spaces

Social space has been reworked throughout the yacht, starting with a new modular aft-cockpit seating design making its debut aboard the Manhattan 56. The layout transforms between dining, lounging and a sunpad depending on how owners and guests want to use the space at any given moment. Twin fold-down balconies extend the aft deck into a terrace-like social area at the water's edge, while side decks lead up to the foredeck lounge, offering a more intimate setting for socialising or sunbathing away from the main gathering areas.

Up top, the flybridge draws its lineage directly from the original flybridge design of the 1990s Manhattan models, reimagined with U-shaped aft al fresco dining and a smaller port-side lounge positioned next to the helm, allowing guests to stay part of the action while someone is driving the boat.

Down by the water’s edge at the stern, the beach club space can also be upgraded with optional amenities including a built-in barbecue and overhead shower.

Sunseeker has also introduced new exterior upholstery on the Manhattan 56, showcased for the first time on this model. Described by the yard as a celebration of handmade British craftsmanship, the upholstery features meticulous tailoring alongside refined piping and stitch detailing.

Interior layout and new design collection

Inside, the Manhattan 56 is built around an open-plan, sociable saloon, with daylight reaching the port-side galley, the U-shaped dining area and the forward starboard helm station. The galley has been positioned deliberately on the main deck to maximise space below deck, where the yacht sleeps up to six across three cabins.

The full-beam en-suite master cabin sits amidships, offering full-height headroom around a curved king-size bed. To starboard, owners can personalise the space with a chaise sofa, breakfast table or additional storage sideboard, while the en suite itself features recessed lighting and ample stowage. A forward double cabin and a starboard twin complete the accommodation.

Throughout the yacht, the interior reflects Sunseeker's new Interiors Collection, developed in collaboration with Design Unlimited. The yard describes the look as calm and modern, drawing on an apartment aesthetic built around minimalist forms and natural textures.

Performance built for owner operation

The Manhattan 56 is powered by new Volvo Penta D13-800 engines, giving the yacht a cruising speed of 25 knots with a range of 250 nautical miles, or a top speed exceeding 30 knots at full throttle. Sunseeker has positioned the model for easy owner operation, aligning the performance package with the yacht's broader focus on accessibility and everyday usability.
